BORDAR O SERENO - EMBROIDERING THE EVENING DEW
'Bordar o Sereno - Embroidering the Evening Dew'* is a research-creation project in the field of the visual arts. It sprang from the current urgent need for protection on a global scale. This work results from the contacts I established with migrant women (from Syria, Afghanistan, Hazara, Turcoman and Tajik ethnicities and Iran), in a partnership with the CPR - Portuguese Council for Refugees, during which the group were able to carry out a 'dialogue' by means of their memories and knowledge. Threads and fabrics became the shared language used to deal with the seemingly unknown.
* 'Sereno' also means 'serenity' in portuguese.
