WHERE THE OCEANS MEET

With her interdisciplinary artwork, Sara Domingos gently nudges the boundary between the plastic arts and the graphic arts. This very frontier also becomes the central theme of her work. We encounter it through her manipulation of composition, where a language of experimentation and abstraction highlights textures — the wrinkles and folds spreading in different directions — which are then harmonized by an underlying chromatic structure.

The varied tones, and sometimes pure white alone, create layers through which one can catch a glimpse, awakening our attention and acknowledging places that serve as bridges to other realities we do not usually perceive.
